Your Journal Entries Are Private
We do not read, review, sell, share, or use your personal journal entries for advertising. Your entries are only available to you within your account and app experience.
What We Collect
We may collect limited information needed to operate the app, such as account details, subscription status, device/app performance data, and basic app usage information. This helps us maintain the app, fix technical issues, and improve features.
Payments
If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, your payment is processed securely by Apple. We do not store your credit card information.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell your personal data.
Data Backup
While we strive to maintain the integrity and availability of your journal entries, we are not responsible for data loss resulting from system errors, network failures, or technical issues beyond our reasonable control. We strongly recommend that you frequently export and back up your journal entries using the built-in export features provided within the app.
Your Right to Delete
You may delete your account and associated personal data directly within the app at any time. Go to Settings and select "Delete Account."
Terms of Use (EULA)
Agreement to Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using The Prayer Room Journal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "EULA"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Subscription Details
The Prayer Room Journal offers auto-renewable subscriptions with the following options:
• Monthly Subscription: $1.79 per month
• Yearly Subscription: $16.49 per year (save 23%)
Each subscription provides full access to all features, including daily mood check-in (14 moods), mood-matched Bible verses, reflection and gratitude prompts, Biblical CBT reframe examples, and unlimited journal history.
Payment and Billing
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect or store your Apple payment card information.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified.
Cancellation and Management
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or in the App Store). Cancelling stops auto-renewal at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for the current period.
Free Trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial of all features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription will begin and your Apple ID account will be charged. You can cancel the trial at any time during the 14-day period at no charge.
Content and Intellectual Property
Bible verses are sourced from the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain and is not subject to copyright. All other content provided in the app, including reflection prompts, CBT reframe examples, app design, and proprietary features, is owned by or licensed to The Prayer Room Journal. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the app content without permission.
User Content
Your journal entries, prayers, and reflections are your own content. You retain ownership of your written content. Entries are stored privately and are accessible only to your account.
Privacy & Security Promise
We have chosen a "Hybrid Trust" approach to protect your journal while keeping it accessible to you.
• Your Data Is Yours: You can export your entire journal at any time as a printable document (HTML/PDF) or as a machine-readable data file (JSON) directly from the Journal page.
• Account Recovery: Unlike "zero-knowledge" encrypted apps, we do not use end-to-end encryption that would lock you out of your own data. This means that if you forget your password, you can reset it and regain full access to your journal — you will never lose your reflections because of a forgotten password.
• Platform Safeguards: Your data is stored securely with encryption at rest and is isolated to your account. We do not read, sell, share, or use your personal journal entries for advertising or any other purpose.
Disclaimer
The Prayer Room Journal is intended for spiritual reflection, encouragement, journaling, and personal growth. It is not a substitute for medical care, mental health treatment, counseling, or emergency support. Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Prayer Room Journal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app through Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all journal entries.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Age Requirements
This app is not directed to children under 13. By using the app, you confirm you are at least 13 years of age or have parental consent.
